This is a lovely vintage 1980s wedding gown with long statement sleeves, a cinched waist, and lace details. The gown is comprised of organza in a diamond white tone and alencon lace in a warm ivory tone. The bodice of the dress is also embellished with pearlescent bead and AB beads. The bodice features a sweetheart and tulle illusion neckline with lace details along the collar and shoulders. The long sleeves are comprised of bishop puff sleeves that transition to a fitted lace sleeve that ends in a series of six petite fabric-covered buttons at the wrist. While the puff sleeve is voluminous, it has an inner sleeve that is organza and fitted. The wrists of the sleeves also feature softly scalloped edged and eyelash lace. The waist as well as the hem of this gown are similarly embellished with scalloped lace. The dress closes in the back via a zipper and a series of fabric-covered buttons. The cinched bodice leads to an a-line organza skirt that is embellished with lace. The tones of the organza and lace are different, it is unknown if this was part of the original design or if this is due to how the dress has aged. While different, the tones go well together. This dress is in excellent condition and is very clean. There are some small, shiny marks on the organza on the right sleeve, perhaps glue residue. There is also a very small section of discoloration to the alencon lace on the bodice that is not easily discernible. Please note this dress has minimal to no stretch in the waist. This dress is floor length but hit around the ankles on the model, please consult the measurements below to determine best fit.
