This is a sweet vintage 1950s wedding gown in a deep ivory tone featuring 3/4 sleeves, a full skirt, cinched waist, illusion sweetheart neckline and decorative piping embellishments. The dress is comprised of silk organza atop a tulle/crinoline base and is a deep ivory tone that picks up almost-silvery light champagne hues in some lights. The fitted princess waist bodice includes a subtly scooped neck and 3/4 sleeves. The sleeves as well as the very top portion of the neckline are slightly sheer. The lining at the neckline forms a soft sweetheart shape and is accented with swirling satin piping. The 3/4 sleeves are trimmed in the same piping. This gown closes at the back via its original metal zipper and two petite metal hook and eyes at the top. The full skirt is decorated with swirling satin piping at the front and includes a wide organza bow in the back. Overall this gown is in wonderful condition with only some small fraying on the inside of the neckline and a small dot of discoloration on one of the neckline satin swirls. Being silk organza, the wearer should take special care with this piece when wearing or storing the gown.
