This is a lovely and uniquely beaded vintage 1940s liquid slipper satin long sleeve gown in a bright light ivory tone. This dress has been dry-cleaned and is made of a satin colloquially known as liquid satin, a type of fabric known for its bright luster and gorgeous movement. The color tone of the satin is a creamy, light ivory. This gown is uniquely embellished with beaded bows all throughout the front and back of the bodice. The beads are pearlescent in tone and are a slightly brighter color tone than the satin. The bodice is further accented with a beaded swirl pattern at the neck, wrists, and waist. The bodice features a modified Queen Anne neckline and the long sleeves include a soft point at the wrist and two snaps to close. The skirt of this dress is free flowing and includes horsehair trim at the hem for additional structure. This gown closes at the back via a row of satin-covered buttons. This dress is in excellent condition with a few minor signs of wear to note. There are some small scratches on the satin finish. There is also some dotting on the bottom interior of the hem, which has resulted in a slightly darker finish on the outside satin. There is some minor wear at the right armpit and some faint discoloration at the hem from previous wear. Lastly, the snaps at the wrist have some slight rusting, but this does not impact the fabric and these can be swapped for new snaps upon request. Overall, this gown is in wonderful condition and would add a playful and unique element to any bride's big day.
