This is a glamorous vintage 1950s lace halter dress in a style that resembles Marilyn Monroe’s iconic white halter dress from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. This dress has its original designer label that reads ‘The Halle Bros. Company’, a fashionable Cleveland department store that sold garments from 1891-1982. This lovely dress features thin spaghetti straps and lace halter straps that connect behind the neck via two sets of hooks and eyes. The skirt features pleated lace, cut in a full circle, which gives the garment wonderful movement. Perfect for twirling, dancing and reenacting your own Marilyn moment. The back of this bodice closes via a row of covered buttons and two snaps.

This dress is a lovely warm ivory tone and is in good condition. There are some signs of wear that should be noted. The inner most lining layer has a few faint spots at the front section of the dress, but these are not visible when the dress is worn. The tulle lining layer has a few very small holes and some spotting/stain marks, but the outer lace layer covers them adequately. Lastly, the pleated lace layer has some faint discoloration at the armpits and some rust marks dotted at the front and back of the skirt, but the the density of the pleats disguises these minimal marks.
